3-Year Limited Structural Workmanship Warranty

What this warranty covers

Coverage period: 3 years from the date the product is delivered.

This warranty covers structural defects caused by Coastline Cedar workmanship or assembly. Examples may include:

• abnormal failure of structural joints attributable to workmanship;
• separation of structural components attributable to workmanship; and
• structural construction defects attributable to Coastline Cedar workmanship.

How we resolve an approved claim

For an approved warranty claim, Coastline Cedar may, depending on the circumstances:

• repair the affected product;
• repair or replace the affected component;
• replace the product; or
• provide another appropriate remedy.

The appropriate resolution depends on the nature of the issue. This warranty does not promise automatic full replacement for every issue.

Natural wood characteristics

Cedar is a natural material, and much of its beauty comes from its natural variation. The following are normal characteristics of natural cedar and are not considered manufacturing or workmanship defects:

• natural grain variations;
• knots;
• variation in colour or tone;
• natural texture differences;
• normal outdoor weathering;
• fading or colour change from exposure;
• normal expansion, contraction, and movement of natural wood; and
• minor natural checking or surface cracking that does not compromise structural integrity.

What is not covered

This warranty does not cover damage primarily caused by:

• misuse or abuse;
• accidents or impact;
• improper drainage or prolonged standing water;
• improper installation where installation was not performed by Coastline Cedar;
• modifications by the customer or third parties;
• unauthorized repairs;
• improper maintenance; and
• extreme environmental exposure beyond reasonable outdoor use.

Making a claim is simple. Email us at hello@coastlinecedar.com and include:

• your order number;
• a description of the issue;
• clear photos of the product and the area of concern; and
• delivery or purchase information where available.

We’ll review your claim promptly and let you know the next steps.

This warranty does not limit any rights or remedies that may apply under applicable consumer law.
